Illness and Absences:

The onset of colder weather means that the winter lurgies are well and truly here!

If your gymnast is sick, we do ask that you keep them at home rather than sharing their germs with the rest of the gym. This ensures that everyone stays healthy during the winter months and we can keep all of our classes running.

If your gymnast is going to be absent, simply jump onto our Customer Portal and log your absence under Account > Student > Future Absences. You will then receive a make up token for use up to 30 days after the scheduled class has run

Photography and Videos:

As many of our gymnasts do not have photo permission, taking photos and videos from our viewing area is prohibited.

This helps us to maintain a child safe environment and respect the wishes of all members. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The Pathway to Paris:

With The Games of the XXXIII Olympiad Paris 2024 scheduled in just a few short weeks, Olympic fever is starting to set in across the sporting world!

Having qualified a full Women's Artistic Gymnastics team to the Olympic Games for the first time since London 2012, Australia is looking to impress on the world stage.

Five superstar athletes are set to don the green and gold against the world's best in Paris, including a record number of Victorians:

  • Kate McDonald - VIC

  • Emma Nedov - VIC

  • Ruby Pass - QLD

  • Breanna Scott - VIC

  • Emily Whitehead - VIC

To celebrate Paris 2024, Trident is getting in the spirit with a range of Olympic themed activities across the months of July and August:

Olympic Week

Planned to coincide with the Artistic Gymnastics competition, the gym will turn itself Green and Gold in support of the Australian contingent from July 29th - August 3rd. More information coming soon!

Adopt an Olympian - Kate McDonald

Having closely followed her gymnastics journey both as an athlete and coach, our management team have been busy in discussion with one athlete who we are excited to support as our "adopted Olympian" in the lead up to and during the Games...Kate McDonald!

Kate has represented Australia for many years on the international stage and is set to make her Olympic debut in Paris.

A proud Victorian, Kate currently trains at CYC Gymsports in Cheltenham, with long time coach Jeb Silsbury.

Her stand out performances include:

  • World Championships representative 2019, 2022 & 2023

  • 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games - Beam Champion and Team Silver

  • 2022 Oceania Uneven Bars Champion

  • 2018 Pacific Rim Championships - Bronze Uneven Bars and Team

Competitive results aside, Kate exemplifies everything gymnastics is about: perseverance, dedication and a whole heap of fun! These characteristics make her the obvious choice for us to cheer on and support on the pathway to Paris.

Now busy in her final preparations for the Games, Kate agreed to visit us at Trident post-Olympics to talk about her experience and meet all her supporters!

How can I support Kate?

With many fun activities planned in the coming weeks, there are a number of ways for you to support Kate and the Australian team:

Kate McDonald "Reflections" Leotard

In conjunction with leotard manufacturer Sylvia P, Kate has designed a training leotard which is available to purchase. Each leotard purchased will contribute to Kate's fundraising effort, ensuring that Kate and her family can celebrate a lifetime's achievement together in Paris.

Check out the leotard here: https://www.sylviap.com.au/collections/path-to-paris/products/kate-mcdonald-x-sylvia-p

All orders need to be submitted by 30th July 2024, so get in quick!

Supporter Poster Competition

Fancy yourself as the best Olympic supporter? It's time to get your craft on and enter our Supporter Poster competition!

Simply create a poster that screams Green and Gold, cheering on Kate McDonald and the rest of the Australian athletes and bring it into the gym by 20th July 2024.

Each entry will go into the draw to win a prize, to be announced during our Olympic Week celebrations.
